Ice

The Spectral Element of Ice in Stehreel is a symbol of logic and order.  It exists in sympathy with the Umbral Element of Control and can be harnessed by wizards in the Physical Plane of the world through its three aspects: Ice, Water, and Cold.

The main source of ice in the Physical Plane is the two poles of the world.  It is said that the God Telaziel is bound to the center of the northern polar region.

On the surface layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Ice is at its weakest save in the Physical Plane of the world where it only exists in physical form.  There are several Specters associated with ice, totem spirits that exist in the surface layer of the Spectral Plane.  They were created by the Fey of Ice.

The Totem Specters of Ice are the Serpent, the Vulture, and the Mantis.

The great Fey of Ice, the weakest of the Demigods are called Nyads.

Draken of Ice

On the middle layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Ice is strong and steady, a thick fractal of liquid and cold.  No Specters journey to this layer of the Spectral Plane, because all of the passages to it are guarded by those touched by the hand of Telaziel himself.

Some say that the spirits of those aligned to Ice journey to this layer of the Spectral Plane in death, dwelling in the pockets of rolling waves and polar snow.

The Blue Draken, strongest of the Demigods, used to dwell on this layer of the Spectral Plane, but gave up their Spectral forms in favor of Physical forms to guard the world from destruction.

Telaziel

In the deepest layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Ice is so overpowering that it is said no mortal could bear to stand within it.  Only the Gods live here, among them Telaziel, the Inkari of Ice.

Telaziel is considered to be the god of the waters of Stehreel, frozen or otherwise. A blue god, Telaziel is bound to the Frozen Wastes of the North. He is a god of logic and order, knowledge and intellect, science and ingenuity. He was once a god of the Mountain Elves of Stehreel, until they were convinced through the very science that he promotes that there is no such things as gods. Now as cold as his element, Telaziel has walled himself in layers of ice, and rarely concerns himself with the plights of the Elves.

Despite the traditional conflict between his element and the elements of both Kain and Borius, Telaziel's greatest contempt is reserved for his kid brother Esmus, the God of Wind, who does not treat existence with the severity or seriousness that Telaziel believes is necessary.  While he is bitter and heartless, the god Telaziel is intrigued (on a completely analytical level, mind you) by Elven emotion. He has devoted a great deal of his attention to its mystery despite repeated and persistent insistence that it has no value and must be excised.

Telaziel is worshiped by no groups or races of Elves.
