Flame

The Spectral Element of Flame in Stehreel is a symbol of anger and contention.  It exists in sympathy with the Umbral Element of Destruction and can be harnessed by wizards in the Physical Plane of the world through its three aspects: Flame, Smoke, and Ash.

The main source of flame in the Physical Plane is Stehreel's core.  It is said that the God Kain is bound within that molten core.

On the surface layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Flame is at its weakest save in the Physical Plane of the world where it has an echo of tangible form.  There are several Specters associated with flame, totem spirits that exist in the surface layer of the Spectral Plane.  They were created by the Fey of Flame.

The Totem Specters of Flame are the Bull, the Falcon, and the Scorpion.

The great Fey of Flame, the weakest of the Demigods are called Sprites.

Draken of Flame

On the middle layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Flame is strong and steady, a thick torrent of heat and fire.  No Specters journey to this layer of the Spectral Plane, because all of the passages to it are guarded by those touched by the hand of Kain himself.

Some say that the spirits of those aligned to Flame journey to this layer of the Spectral Plane in death, dwelling in the pockets of smoke and steam.

The Red Draken, strongest of the Demigods, used to dwell on this layer of the Spectral Plane, but gave up their Spectral forms in favor of Physical forms to guard the world from destruction.

Kain

In the deepest layer of the Spectral Plane, the element of Flame is so overpowering that it is said no mortal could bear to stand within it.  Only the Gods live here, among them Kain, the Inkari of Flame.

Kain is at times a petulant child, prone to fits of anger and violence. Hatred is a thing he harbors well, and throughout the history of the immortals Kain has been contrary to Eza in almost all things. He wants to burn all things Eza builds and creates. Some of the races of the world consider him tantamount to the Christian Devil.

Kain only ever has one cleric in the world at a time.  He has a burning desire to see the world reduced to ruin, but he is hampered by his own hatred and cannot bring himself to develop a large enough fighting force devoted to him to get the job done.

No beings worship Kain except for a few Abyssal Demons because he hates all of Eza's creations.
