Moon Elves

The Moon Elves of Stehreel are a very blue race.  One of five races of Drukar, the Moon Elves were the first born in the beginning.  They trend towards an average height of 176cm (5'9") and have slender and graceful builds for the most part.  Their coloration ranges from very light and pale blues to dark navy and denim blues in skin tone, they can have a range of blue colored irises for their eyes, and their hair can also range through blues and blacks.  They may not be the most physically intimidating of the Drukar races, but spiritually they are incredibly deadly.

Able to see the auras of all living things almost from birth, the Moon Elves are possessed of a deadly Lunacy that rages behind discipline and control.

Ash and Drea

Shown here are Asheryn, an orphaned thief from the streets of Trinity City, and Jaelandrea Oriella, a daughter of a tailor in Trinity City who dreamed of one day becoming a Priestess of the Moons and did not rest until she achieved that goal.  Ash was raised by the street and now is an accomplished Thief who does his own thing and defies the female-centric guilds of Trinity City's underground, delighting in stealing during the nighttime when a proper Moon Elf is awake and alert, just for the challenge.  'Drea serves her Goddess Delilah without question and has faced life and death with her girlfriend Valuhree in pursuit of that service.

Lunatria, denoted by the three moon crest, is the country of the Moon Elves.  It is separated into four separate Districts, three of which are named in humble supplication to the Goddess that they primarily serve.  The capital District is simply named Lunatria, and resides at the center of the country.

A council of three High Priestesses rules Lunatria.  Each of them runs an individual District as well, serving in council to rule the whole of the country.  Below them, each of the Districts is run by their subordinate Priestesses.  There are only Priestesses in political positions in Lunatria, the church and state are irrevocably bound.  Each of the High Priestesses is elected internally within their respective orders and under the auspice of their respective Goddesses.  Below them, every appointment of political importance within a District is assigned by the High Priestess under consultation of her Goddess.

Lunatria

Because the focus of Lunatria is on the Priestesshood, it has created a very religious society.  The pious have power and the atheists have none, the height (closeness to the Goddesses) of a person's home is a symbol of their success, and the clergy is trusted in all things.  Despite worshiping three separate Goddesses, the people of Lunatria view all three as equal and do not seek to promote one over the other; they keep the same mentality in their social beliefs, considering most everyone equal but different, espousing the belief that a house divided against itself cannot stand: "Til kelenvon meloer yvashinae".

Moon Elves consider the spectral animals associated with their Goddessess' power to be sacred and holy.  Tigers, bears, rabbits, ants, spiders, crickets, owls, albatrosses, and bats all fall into this category.  While punishment is rarely meted out for those who injure or kill the sacred animals, as Elven life is still considered more sacred than that of simple beasts, it is still frowned on.  Fur is often died in patterns of the sacred animals rather than taken from them directly, and live wild animals are often kept by Priestesses in honor of their Goddess.

The Moon Elves practice an ancient and sacred rite to acknowledge ranks and accomplishments among their people.  This rite, the scribing of ethereal sigils, is actually performed directly to their spirits, effectively awarding them spiritual tattoos that are visible to those with aura vision.

Tirael

The Moon Elves worship the three living Goddesses that circle Stehreel.  Their official religion encompasses all three, and while individual temples can be devoted to a single Goddess it is more common to find tri-sided shrines and temples devoted to all three Goddesses in equality.  Since the Priestesses of Lunatria run the country they are literally an integral part of every Moon Elf's life.  They preside over marriage, after a young woman has courted a man and convinced him to accept her offer of marriage; they offer legal counsel; they even serve in the military as scouts, guards, and warriors.

Those who wield the power of Time, Gravity, and Sound energy, Chronomancer, Omniomancer, and Audiomancer Wizards respectively; and Priestesses of the Goddesses, are the favored Spark Wielders of Stehreel among the Moon Elves.

Moon Elves are huge advocates of magic and spiritual power.  The Tempest class, a magical berserker that focuses on control of the terrible Lunacy that all Moon Elves are born with, came from the Moon Elves of Lunatria.  The magical prowess of the Tempests, able to gather both the Spectral and Umbral side of an Elven soul to use as a weapon, is feared on the battlefield.

Because of the force with which Moon Elves approach combat, it should be no surprise that their tactics on the battlefield are somewhat lacking in finesse.  They often break out a hammer and batter away at their opponents until something gives, trusting in the skill of individual warriors interlocking into the greater weave of the army.
